Shelbydiamondstar Photography

My name is Marybeth Kiczenski and I am a Great Lakes based adventurer and photographer of all things that inspire me. Whether that means cars, animals, the northern lights, or the sky - its all fair game! However, I am a *little* biased towards the night sky and all its glory. So you'll find a bit more Marybeth Kiczenski, of Shelbydiamondstar Photography, is an unapologetically and hopelessly obsessed night sky chaser. From Milky Way, to Orion, and Aurora; she finds the night sky to be an endless treasure trove of inspiration and awe. She has been involved with night photography for a number and years, and always strives to learn new things and help others discover the beauty of the cosmos. Marybeth has served as an ambassador for the Michigan State Park system and an Artist-in-Residence for the Alaska State Park system. Her photos have been featured in many publications, including in National Geographic: Your Shot, Sky and Telescope, and was shortlisted in the 2022 Astronomy Photographer of the Year competition.

Amber's Impressions Photography

I use photography as my creative outlet and my canvas comes from a place of intuition when I see a shot unfold before me. My passion for photography is fueled by my desire to partake in the stories that unfold around me and the impressions that I get from those stories. It matters not if its landscape, wildlife, or candid shots of people in the city, there is always a story to be told. An impression to be left on someone who sees it or is able to connect with the photograph. That is what I love about photography, the varied differences in all our shots and the emotions they can invoke in the people who view them. I got started in nature and landscape photography as a hobby back in high school and in the last 7 years have taken a serious learning attitude towards making photography my professional career. You will find everything from landscape, night, city landscape, wildlife, animals, sport, and portrait photography on my page. I also am an award winning freelance photographer for local newspaper. I was the president of the local Camera Club for two years, am a long time admin for Frozen Photographer Facebook group, and guest speaker at Aurora Summit and Frozen Photographers Winter Gathering. I have also been printed in the local Pine Knot Newspaper and an anthology book "Social Gap Experiment" by Mellissa Kaelin.

Irene Wesee
Photographer
Lilian Rose Photos

Originally from the west coast of Africa, Irene has always had music and art in her life as a way to escape the harsh realities of living through a civil war while trying to find the beauty that exists in turmoil. During her childhood in Liberia, cooked rice served as the glue for her art projects, such as cutting out photos from newspapers, postage stamps and magazines to place in a scrapbook. Now living in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, it wasn’t until Irene attended an elective black-and-white photography class in nursing school that she purchased her first camera, launching the journey to her new passion: photography. Her photography art is focused on portraits, with her three children being her primary subjects. On location at local parks and incorporating vibrant colors and textures, Irene is able to vividly convey emotions and stories of Liberia and Africa. Drawing inspiration from her childhood and books, she captures portraits that aim to leave the viewer mesmerized. Irene’s work has gained attention in local and national photography groups, leading her to provide education to other photographers in the community. In addition, she has also offered photography services for local women’s and children’s shelters for Mother’s Day and Christmas holidays.

Frozen Hiker Photography

I got introduced to photography by my grandfather. When I was around the age of 7, he gave me my first camera. I don't remember much about it other than it took 120 mm film. My next camera was a Kodak Instamatic that I carried with me everywhere. When I got to college, I took my next step when my friend Cheerios helped me purchase my first SLR, a Nikon EM with a 50mm lens. I have been using Nikon equipment ever since. I enjoy shooting landscapes, wildlife, classic cars, old dilapidated buildings and equipment. I have been fortunate enough to visit some amazing locations, and I am always looking for new places to visit and experience. Some recent trips have been to Kaktovik Alaska, Galapagos Islands, Death Valley National Park, and Yellowstone National Park. ? My photos have appeared in magazines, newspapers, calendars, and marketing materials. Some recent publications have been Lake Superior Magazine, 2017 Galapagos Conservancy Calendar, 2018 International Wolf Center Calendar, and The Virginian Pilot. I have also participated in various galleries around Minnesota.

Mike Shaw Photography

I’m a professional photographer & photography instructor who specializes in nightscapes and time-lapses. My passion and mission are to help you discover new ways to create incredible images and video clips - ones that you’ll be excited to share with your family and friends. Before his photography career took off, Mike Shaw was a physics and astronomy professor for over 15 years. He also worked as an applied physics research scientist for over 10 years. Yes, he is a rocket scientist! Shaw says, "My photography expresses the freedom I feel when I'm outdoors in nature. My favorite images are those filled with the joy of being alive, a vital part of nature's web. I constantly look for that connection with the wildness of the natural world; untamed yet harmonious. My photographic quest is to merge both elements inside the camera as I search for those elusive glimpses of nature's perfection."
